Charleston, SC (CNN) Car rental companies like CarRent are struggling to compete with the booming popularity of self-driving cars.
But if you’re in Charleston, it’s not too late to save a few bucks.
CarsRent.com is offering up to $5,000 in incentives to renters who sign up for car rentals in the Charleston area.
The Charleston, South Carolina, company launched its online rental service back in December and says it is now offering incentives up to 10% off, up to a total of $6,000.
It has also launched a mobile app for rent, and has partnered with the Charleston Chamber of Commerce to offer a free car-rental app.
The app is free for Charlestonians who have a current vehicle and pay a $25 deposit, and it’s available to residents of Charleston, the state capital, and the city of Charleston.
It also offers a free rental car app for those who don’t have a vehicle.

It offers car rentals for $4.75 per hour for up to six months.
If you’re looking for a car rental in the capital, Charleston has a lot of options.
You can rent a car for $25 a day, rent a sedan for $35 a day and a pick-up spot for $55 a day.
CarRent says that’s a good deal if you have an annual income of at least $60,000, which would be $3,500 a year for a family of four in Charleston.
If your income is lower, CarRs lease is a good option.
Car Rental.com says that if you rent a $100,000 vehicle, the total value of the rental package will be $1,200 a month.
The company says that rental car prices range from $200 to $400 per day.
That’s an amazing deal if your income and expenses are low.
Car rental company CarRrent says that the incentive program is only available to Charleston residents and Charleston residents only, so if you live in another state, you may not qualify for the incentives.
