The cheapest rental deals in the Dublin city centre are now on the market.
The city’s main car rental agency has revealed its new Top 20 car rental deals on its website.
A car rental company called Car Rentals Dublin said it had received a total of 996 applications from the city for the new Top 10 car rental properties, which it has named ‘The Dublin Car Rental Market’.
The company said it would release the Top 20 properties as soon as they are available.
“Our goal is to make the city’s car rental market as competitive as possible by offering the best prices, the highest customer satisfaction, and the most convenient car rental services available,” said Sean Byrne, CEO of Car Rentings Dublin.
The Dublin City Council has been in the process of rolling out the new rental car schemes, with the aim of reducing congestion, improving mobility and encouraging more people to live and work in the City.
The Dublin Metro City Council said the new car rental scheme will be rolled out from March 1, 2018, and will be available to all residents of the city.
“This new system will be a great start in helping the Dublin City Metro to provide an even more affordable and convenient option for commuters and residents to get around Dublin City and the region,” said Councillor Eamonn Kelly.
It comes after the City of Dublin recently launched the Dublin Metro Bus Rapid Transit scheme, with an initial budget of €500 million.
Other Dublin City councillors welcomed the news of the new top 20 car rentals deals.
“The city has an excellent public transport network and we need to encourage more people into driving cars,” said Dublin City Councillors Pat Stryker and Michael Kelly.
“By investing in the infrastructure that connects the City with our surrounding areas, such as the Dublin Bus Rapid Busway, the city will be able to make it easier for people to get to and from work and school.”
In September, Dublin City unveiled a new €1.1 billion plan to redevelop the Dublin Ring Road, to be funded by a new 1.3 billion euro loan.
