A man has been charged with burglarizing a car rental outlet in south Queensland.
Police said the 32-year-old was charged with two counts of burglary and one count of aggravated theft.
The man was due to appear in the Brisbane Magistrates Court on Wednesday.
Police spokeswoman Samantha McEwan said they received information on Saturday morning that the man was suspected of stealing cars in the south Queensland town of Port Hedland.
“He was allegedly the person who broke into the shop and damaged equipment,” she said.
“The man has since been charged.”
The shop, located at the corner of Aussie Drive and Ponsonby Avenue, has been closed.
